RESUMOEste artigo aborda, numa primeira parte, o conceito de justiça social, a sua origem e a forma como se tem definido na atualidade, bem como algumas técnicas de consulta psicológica que podem conduzir à sua promoção. Seguidamente, centra-se nos pressupostos que atualmente guiam a prática vocacional e que permitem concretizar a justiça social no campo da psicologia vocacional. Tendo em conta que esta é uma abordagem relativamente recente e que existem poucos exemplos da sua implementação, pareceu oportuno fazer um levantamento e referência a alguns casos concretos implementados em Escolas de Ensino Superior nos E.U.A. Termina-se com uma breve análise da realidade escolar portuguesa e com algumas sugestões para a formação das e dos profissionais de psicologia, com base nos casos apresentados e na fundamentação teórica mais relevante.Palavras-chave: justiça social; consulta psicológica vocacional; formação de psicólogos. ABSTRACTThis article first examines the concept of social justice, its origin and how it is defined today, as well as some counseling psychology techniques that could lead to its promotion. Then, it focuses on the assumptions that guide vocational practice, allowing social justice to take place in the field of vocational psychology. Given that this is a relatively recent approach and examples of its implementation are scarce, it seemed appropriate to explore some specific cases in Schools of Higher Education in the U.S.A. This article ends with a brief analysis of the current Portuguese school system and with some suggestions for the training of professionals in the area of psychology based on the cases presented and the most relevant theoretical approaches.Keywords: social justice; vocational counseling psychology; psychologist's formation. IntroduçãoCom a entrada no século XXI assiste-se a uma acentuada globalização social, cultural e econômica, que acarreta consigo uma maior facilidade de deslocação das pessoas entre os diferentes países, dando origem uma sociedade cada vez mais multicultural. Por outro lado, assiste-se também a uma cada vez maior disseminação das desigualdades sociais e econômicas. Estas mudanças sociais vieram exigir um olhar diferenciado sobre as necessidades humanas dando origem a novas abordagens teóricas, de investigação e prática nas ciências sociais e humanas, em geral, e na psicologia, em particular. Entre as muitas transformações que ocorrem uma das mais marcantes prende-se com uma nova abordagem epistemológica que se traduz num abandono de questões como a objectividade e a neutralidade, reclamando, em vez disso, um lugar político para estas ciências (Gergen, 1982;Harding, 1986). Students' perception concerning the career counselling programs is determined by the extent to which these programs are adjusted to their counselling needs. The present study is based on a constatative and correlational design and is conducted on a population of 257 students (N=257). These participants were aged between 19 and 21 years. 77 were males and 180 females.The research aims to investigate how the career counselling activities, conducted during the SOPHRD program SOPHRD/161/2.1/G/137510 entitled Professional counselling, internships and simulated enterprise: an extra chance in finding a job for students specializing in public administration and communication, public relations and advertising, responded to the recipients ' needs and also if there are gender differences at the level of their perception. After attending different activities within the counselling program, the students were asked to fill in a feed-back questionnaire. The obtained findings show that the career counselling activities have significantly responded to the students' expectations. Gender differences in the students' perception concerning the career counselling program were also found.

Problem Statement: In order to provide equal educational opportunities for students, teachers should encourage their students to have an effective voice concerning social justice. Studies reveal that teachers face trouble when transferring from the concept of social justice as theory to social justice as practice. A scale which will be developed on social justice may enable teachers to better comprehend the process of movement from attitude to action. Moreover, examining which factors affect teachers' behaviors towards social justice will contribute to the arrangement of social justice studies in learning environments. Purpose of the Study:The primary aim of the study is to analyze the psychometric characteristics of the Social Justice Scale's Turkish form. The secondary aim is to determine the effects of social justice attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on behavioral intentions. Method:The scale adaptation process was conducted with 515 participants (376 female, 139 male), and structural equation modeling was conducted with 410 (313 female, 97 male) participants. The data were collected through the Social Justice Scale. In analyzing the data, Pearson Correlation Coefficients, confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach Alpha coefficients were utilized. The effects of social justice attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control on behavioral intentions were analyzed through structural equation modeling.Findings and Results: Linguistic equivalence of the scale was obtained p=.00, p<.01.
