Social and Economic Properties of the Energy Markets

Abstract: Consumer properties of the thermal and electric energy which are the products at energy markets yield interconnections that have significant impact on the laws of energy consumption. When physical or price restrictions of the thermal energy supply are present at the power markets, the shortage of energy can be compensated by an increase in electricity consumption. At the same time, it appears that the interconnection of heat and electricity consumption largely determines the model of ower supply organization. … Show more

“…The practical implementation of the principles of sustainable development involves changes in all areas of human activity. In particular, it requires efficient use of energy resources so that future human existence is not threatened by lack of access to energy sources (Boyle at al., 2004;Czech, 2016;Mitchell, 2010;Shindina et al, 2018). Access to energy resources has a huge impact on the processes taking place in the socio-economic space and, as history shows, natural resource extraction and trading very often cause regional conflicts (Belyi, 2015;Maltby, 2013;Müller-Kraenner, 2009).…”
