Although the vasoconstrictory effects of nicotine in the blood vessels are typical, vessels of the central nervous system and coronary arteries are known to dilate in response to nicotine (Matschke, 1991). It remains to be investigated whether the longer term effects of smoking are associated with the effect of noise exposure on permanent hearing loss.…”
