Smectite appearance in the footwall of the Úrkút manganese ore deposit, Bakony Mts., Hungary

Abstract: The Úrkút manganese ore deposit (Transdanubian Range, Hungary) is one of the largest manganese accumulations to be formed during the Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event.
