SMASH: A Supervised Machine Learning Approach to Adaptive Video Streaming over HTTP

Abstract: The growth of online video-on-demand consumption continues unabated. Existing heuristic-based adaptive bitrate (ABR) selection algorithms are typically designed to optimise video quality within a very narrow context.
