Smart Learning Environment (SLE) in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0)

Abstract: This paper is attempted to examine the explanatory approach in dealing with SLE by advancing online learning sources. The systematic approach of searching for the relevant articles on SLE in IR 4.0 has been widely identified through two electronic databases, Scopus and Web of Sciences. Through adopting such digitally systematic search program, identification was made on the various elements in terms of online learning resources (OLR). This attempts to propose the SLE framework model with an innovative approach… Show more

“…In 2021, the tenth most impactful trend was virtual learning, in which 4IR technology delivered instruction and facilitated more effective learning. The use of 4IR technology for enabling digital learning and gamification has been evolving for decades, along with the advancement of robust technology and algorithms; however, the global pandemic, where many were confined to their homes and were unable to attend traditional classrooms, accelerated usage and adoption across workplaces and educational institutions globally (Mulyadi et al, 2022 ). Industrial psychologists with extensive experience in learning design, delivery, and measurement developed and implemented platforms and tools.…”

“…As a result, both comprehension and implementation are strategically required to have a mutual concern in responding to the raising demands on providing the learning opportunities in online service. The sufficient adoption of enhancing the distance learning in the attempts to the instructional design on digital environment should be properly adopted by adapting its digital infrastructure provided to supply the learning materials for instance (Mulyadi et al, 2022). The digital access towards the wide range of such materials needs a consistent determinant in enabling the learners' active engagement to continue the distribution on education process.…”

“…Web 2.0 applications could improve the mastery of 21st-century skills such as collaboration skills, information access skills and online learning (Aminin et al, 2018;Ellis et al, 2020). Web 2.0 applications also can improve the mastery of 21st-century skills such as collaboration skills, information access skills and online learning in a situation where face to face teaching and learning cannot be carried out (Khalili et al, 2021;Moksin et al, 2018;Mulyadi et al, 2022). In this regard, Web 2.0 is relevant to the education system, especially during the post-pandemic, which allows each student to gather, collect and display any existing or newly explored information to maximise the use of technology in teaching and learning activities in and out of the classroom.…”
