Biometric technology, founded on recognizing distinctive individual features, enhances identification and automation, yielding personal and institutional benefits. This literature review employs the Kitchenham and Charters methodology to analyze recent perspectives on biometric technology in educational time and attendance. The analysis identifies benefits, such as preventing impersonation and enhancing data security, but emphasizes concerns about biometric alterations and hardware/software failures hindering optimal outcomes. A noteworthy trend is adopting a bimodal behavioral approach in biometric technologies in education. The study recommends research avenues focusing on privacy safeguards, biometric system robustness, and technological resilience. Beyond mere identification, a shift towards quantitative and descriptive methods is proposed, guiding future research. The results underscore the importance of a multimodal approach and stringent security measures to address biometric system vulnerabilities. Future exploration should consider integrating emerging technologies to enhance system resilience and data protection, providing a comprehensive guide for refining and expanding biometric technology applications in education.

Historically, new technologies have always increased the efficiency of production processes. Production process efficiency increases productivity. With the growth of productivity, there is usually an increase in sales and profit. Today’s world is mainly influenced by digital technologies. The digitization of production processes leads to the digital transformation of the business and natural economy sectors. If, like other technologies in the past, the effects of digital technologies are associated with a growth in efficiency, productivity and thus also revenues and profits, the aim of this article is to propose a model to assess the potential of a digital transformation from a macroeconomic perspective. The proposed model, which was based on a composite indicator expressing the potential for digital transformation, was quantified for a certain period and for a selected sample of countries. The potential for digital transformation can occur in any country, regardless of the purchasing power of its population and GDP per capita. We can assume that the economic benefits of digital technologies are obvious. Businesses operating in any country innovate and are driven by digital technologies. This is also reflected in employment. New workers who know how to work with digital technologies are needed. Therefore, the results of the assessments and the proposal itself serve as a basis for national policy makers to create national strategies for digital transformation.

Accounting for people is the first step of every manpower-based organization in today's world. Hence, it takes up a signification amount of energy and value in the form of money from respective organizations for both implementing a suitable system for manpower management as well as maintaining that same system. Although this amount of expenditure for big organizations is near to nothing, rather just a formality, it does not hold as much truth for small organizations such as schools, colleges, and even universities to a certain degree. This is the first point. The second point for discussion is that much work has been done to solve this issue. Various technologies like Biometrics, RFID, Bluetooth, GPS, QR Code, etc., have been used to tackle the issues of attendance collection. This study paves the path for researchers by reviewing practical methods and technologies used for existing attendance systems.
