Abstract: Background and aim Epicardial fat (eFat) has been linked to atrial remodeling and fibrillation (AF). Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are heterogeneous membrane vesicles released by all cell types. They can both protect and damage tissues by the delivery of multiple different messengers.
