“…In adolescents experiencing sleep difficulties, there is a lack of clear evidence for the success of various interventions, such as sleep education and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) based programs. While some improvement was noted immediately postintervention, there were low rates of maintenance of these sleep habits at follow-up [3,11,17,24,25 && ] Further research is needed to identify which interventions offer the most significant improvements in this adolescent population. [29][30][31].…”

There are twin studies highlighting the genetic link between ADHD, depression, and anxiety, as well as insomnia [32 ▪▪ ].…”

“…Furthermore, they are related to risk for self‐harm (Singareddy et al, 2013) and depression severity (Liu et al, 2007), and they may also impede recovery from depression (Clarke & Harvey, 2012). Despite some evidence for the bidirectional link between sleep and depression, there is stronger evidence demonstrating that sleep problems precede the onset or exacerbation of depression (Lovato & Gradisar, 2014; Tolêdo et al, 2020).…”
