SLA Information Management through Dependency Digraphs: The Case of Cloud Data Services

Abstract: The paper addresses the issue of Service Level Agreement (SLA) data management for the cloud computing domain. We discuss the SLA anatomy and provide an analysis of SLA data management requirements. The analysis highlights SLA data aspects considering the association of SLA terms with service management operations. Our work proposes a simple, structured way to store and manage SLA information through a digraph data model that is modular, extensible and expressive with respect to data operational dependencies. … Show more

“…SLA management operations (real-time monitoring, measurement, auditing, value computation). 46 However, current specifications and tools for SLA management are still inappropriate to big services. One way, to express the provisioning terms, is to aggregate the SLAs of big services' components by taking into consideration the big service' workflow structure and choreography.…”

“…Some researchers have proposed SLA graph models for data services, 45 while others have mapped SLA components to data attributes (accessibility, integrity, cleanness, accuracy, heterogeneity, ownership, authenticity, volume, velocity rate, replication and staging, service dependencies) w.r.t. SLA management operations (real‐time monitoring, measurement, auditing, value computation) 46 . However, current specifications and tools for SLA management are still inappropriate to big services.…”
