La aplicación de las ontologías en el aprendizaje adaptativo contribuyen implementar alternativas tecno – pedagógicas con un profundo fundamento computacional. Para proyectar investigaciones de innovaciones educativas es importante determinar cuáles son los principales pares de variables dependiente (VD) y independiente (VI) que se han estudiado en el último lustro (2015-2019). En esta década, diversos estudios teóricos están presentes en Scopus hasta el 2018 pero no logran identificar por cada publicación la relación VD-VI. Ello motivó a realizar un mapeo sistemático empleando criterios establecidos en el protocolo PRISMA. Se seleccionaron 289 trabajos (ACM Digital Library (94), IEEE Xplorer (100) y Scopus (95)). Al aplicarse rigurosos criterios de inclusión y exclusión se escogieron 53 publicaciones. Se observa que existen resultados en esta área del conocimiento aun así, la aplicación de métodos híbridos que logre integrar sistemas de recomendación de objetos de aprendizaje adaptativos con diversas técnicas de recomendación, por ejemplo: basados por contenido, filtrado colaborativo y en ontologías, es aún incipiente. Se concluye que los pares de variables que mayor frecuencia evidenciaron fueron: VD: sistema de aprendizaje adaptativo – VI: modelo basado en ontologías difusas; VD: evaluación de habilidades – VI: modelo basado en ontologías difusas; VD: objetos de aprendizaje – VI: modelo basado en ontologías; VD: estilos de aprendizaje – VI: modelo basado en ontologías; VD: repositorios de recursos educativos digitales – VI: máquinas de soporte vectorial; VD: clasificación y agrupación de estudiantes – VI: modelo basado en ontologías.

Visualization plays an important role in teaching and learning. The ability of the learner to grasp the visual contents are better than that of textual contents. Traditional teaching methods often revolved around instructions and recitation techniques. However, most of these approaches were dormant and did not call for active learning. The proposed AGDO-Analyze, Group, Design & Optimize methodology was inspired by these obstacles and creates an engaging and wholesome experience for the students. A sample of 47 undergraduate students was used to analyses the feasibility and effectiveness of this teaching mechanism. Students first tackled and analyzed the problem statement with their preconceived knowledge. They were then segregated into groups wherein they designed solutions collectively. Finally, they tried to find an optimized solution considering all the suggested designs. Observations were validated based on feedback and how well the students were able to perform. The results revealed that approaches such as AGDO facilitate an immersive learning environment and ensure the quality of teaching. The implications and methodology were further discussed.

The development of information technologies changes the learning process. The amount of publicly available data of e-learning systems allows personalized studies. Therefore, the tutor sometimes is needed for the student’s evaluation and consultation only. To ensure clear evaluation requirements and objective evaluation process, the learning material, as well as the evaluation system, must be discrete and semantically expressed. The list of mastered competencies and skills is more important to the enterprise; therefore, during the last years, the study process has concentrated on competency evaluation too. However, the current practice, when students’ competencies are summarized and expressed as one quantitative metric (score), do not express the list of students’ competencies and their level. To solve the problem, in this paper, we proposed a method for the design of competencies’ tree. The competency tree has to be formatted based on context modeling principles and analysis of Scope-Commonality-Variability. The usage of competency tree for students’ competencies’ evaluation proposes clearly defined and semantically expressed evaluation method for both human and e-learning evaluation process. This paper presents the results of the empirical experiment to adapt the proposed competency tree design and application for competencies’ e-evaluation method, based on flexibility, adaptability, and granularity of learning material.
