Skeletal mechanism modelling of n -heptane/oxygen laminar coflow flame structure at pressures

Abstract: h i g h l i g h t sThe skeletal mechanism of n-heptane combustion was developed and validated. n-Heptane/oxygen were investigated by the developed skeletal mechanism. The maximum soot volume fraction increases as f v,max / P 2 with increasing pressure.n-Heptane/oxygen flame height decreased with increasing pressure. a r t i c l e i n f o b s t r a c tA skeletal reaction mechanism of n-heptane combustion is developed and validated. The axisymmetric laminar co-flow diffusion flames of n-heptane/oxygen are simul… Show more

“…In 2019, 75 million passenger cars were sold in the world, of which about 75% are designed to drive on gasoline fuel. 74 The potential of the car market, as noted earlier, is determined by the share of car ownership in a country or region. 75 The first place in terms of motorization is occupied by the United States with an indicator equal to 838 cars per thousand people.…”

“…The experimental measurements of turbulent combustion are restricted by the high level of intermittency due to turbulent motion and a relatively short residence time [3,4]. Turbulent combustion can be regarded as a combination of microlaminar combustion with turbulence mass transfer, and computational models such as the flamelet model are based on this theory [5]. For the turbulent flow in a rocket chamber, the magnitude of the Taylor microscale Reynolds number Re λ is usually 10-100.…”
