Sizing compressed-air energy storage tanks for solar home systems

Abstract: A generic problem of distributed solar home systems (SHS) is the lifetime of the chemical storage battery. In this paper, a model of compressed-air energy storage (CAES) based SHS is developed and simulated to determine the size of the storage tank according to the required load and operating time.
