Sivers and Boer-Mulders TMDs of proton in a light-front quark-diquark model

Abstract: We obtain the leading twist T-odd quark transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) of the proton, namely the Sivers function, f ⊥q 1T (x, p 2 ⊥ ), and the Boer-Mulders function, h ⊥q 1 (x, p 2 ⊥ ), in a light-front quark-diquark model constructed with the wave functions predicted by the soft-wall AdS/QCD. The gluon rescattering is crucial to predict a nonzero T-odd TMDs. We study the utility of a nonperturbative SU (3) gluon rescattering kernel going beyond the usual approximation of pe… Show more

“…Moreover, Ref. [99] highlights the concordance between the SIDIS spin asymmetries predicted by the LFQDM and the experimental results from HERMES and COMPASS. Quark's orbital angular momentum and the GPD-TMD relations have been calculated, and the results have been contrasted with those of other models that share the same properties [100].…”

“…The parallels of SIDIS spin asymmetries in the LFQDM with HERMES and COM-PASS findings have been shown in Ref. [92]. In the LFQDM, twist-2 T-even TMDs have been studied where the inequalities customary of diquark models have been shown to be fulfilled [91].…”

“…Leading twist T-odd quark TMDs of the proton have also been obtained, specifically the Sivers function f ⊥q 1T (x, p 2 ⊥ ) and the Boer-Mulders function h ⊥q 1 (x, p 2 ⊥ ) [160]. The generalized Sivers and Boer-Mulders shifts have also been compared to the known lattice QCD simulations and it has been proved that the SIDIS spin asymmetries associated with these T-odd TMDs are consistent with HERMES and COMPASS findings [160]. Leading twist T-even TMDs have been discussed in this model including both scalar and vector diquark [116].…”
