Site 806

Abstract: Principal results: Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Site 806 (proposed Site OJP-1) is located on the northeastern margin of the Ontong Java Plateau, close to the equator (latitude 0°19.1'N, longitude 159°21.7'E) in 2520 m of water, roughly 125 km northeast of Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP) Sites 289/586.
