Sistemática dos Phlebotominae (Diptera, Psychodidae) das Américas

Abstract

A classification of the American Phlebotominae is proposed based on phylogenetic analysis. 101 characters of the winged forms of the type-species of genera, subgenera, groups and series were analysed. When type-species were not available, other species of the taxon were studied. The type~species of the OId World genera Ph1ebotomus and Sergentomyia and, some species of Bruchomyiinae (out group) were also analised.

“…The genus Migonemyia was proposed by Galati (1995) within the subtribe Lutzomyiina Abonnenc & Leger, 1976 and was subdivided by her into two subgenera Migonemyia and Blancasmyia Galati, 1995.
