Sistema de marcação de caso em Terena (Aruak)

Abstract: This paper attempts to convey an analysis of codifying mechanisms of case in Terena language of Aruak family. Palmer (1994) and Blake (1994)'s functional-typological framework and mainly Dixon (1979 e 1994)'s work supported the analysis drown by. When codified by mechanisms of cross reference, morphological markers of case and word order, S, A and O grammatical functions in Terena point to different alignments -nominative/accusative, ergative/absolutive.
