Abstract:El siglo XX estuvo marcado por las guerras mundiales, lo que ocasionó un aumento en la prevalencia de pacientes con lesiones medulares traumáticas, los cuales tenían una mortalidad de 95% en las primeras dos semanas posteriores a la lesión.
