Singular L2‐gain control for switched nonlinear control systems under arbitrary switching

Abstract: This article concerns with the synthesis of L 2 -gain state feedback controllers, without the standard regular assumption, for multi-input switched nonlinear control-affine systems under arbitrary switching. A common control storage function approach is developed for deriving sufficient conditions for the existence of uniform L 2 -gain controllers. Moreover, an explicit formula for constructing L 2 -gain controllers is presented. A numerical example is given for illustration. K E Y W O R D S arbitrary switchin… Show more

“…[1][2][3] In the last decades, switched nonlinear systems and the corresponding control methods have drawn considerable attention among various hybrid systems due to the ability of modeling practical systems. [4][5][6][7] The identification of switched nonlinear systems has been extensively studied as the foundation of analyzing and controlling these systems. [8][9][10] In the last few decades, the identification of linear or affine hybrid systems has been spotlighted due to their universal approximation properties and simple interpretations.…”

“…In comparison with the weighted l2‐gain performance, the nonweighted l2‐gain carries clear physical significance with less conservativeness, which is preferable in both mathematical analyses and practical applications. So far, interesting works 18,26‐32 in theoretical and applied areas have been presented to investigate the nonweighted disturbance attenuation performances for switched systems. A quasi‐time‐dependent filter with a prescribed non‐weighted l2‐gain is developed in Reference 18 for switched linear systems.…”

“…The papers 26,27 tackle the nonweighted asynchronous H control issues for different types of switched systems via innovative Lyapunov functions. The singular L2‐gain control is researched in Reference 28 for multi‐input switched nonlinear control‐affine systems under arbitrary switching. The Reference 29 concentrates on the mode‐dependent H filtering of switched neural networks with persistent dwell‐time switching regularity.…”
