Single-Sided Jacquard Knit Fabric Development and Seamless Ski Underwear Zoning Design based on Body Mapping Sportswear

Abstract: In order to meet the functional requirements of professional skiers for ski underwear, such as warmth, breathability, moisture absorption, sweat drainage, and stretch elasticity, six single-sided jacquard knit fabric structures were designed and then knitted with polyester and DRYARN. Then, 12 fabrics were acquired and ranked comprehensively by the one-way analysis of variance and grey correlative analysis based on entropy. According to the fabric properties and sweat distribution on the human skin surface, th… Show more

“…In this paper, DRYARN yarn and DRYARN covered with spandex were chosen as research and development materials based on previous fabric sample preparation and performance test results. 30 Test knitting was conducted by a Santoni Top2 Fast single side electronic jacquard circular knitting machine with parameters of 8 F knitting system with 1488 needles and 381 mm cylinder diameter, as shown in Figure 8. The yarn specifications and fabric parameters of the fabric can be found in Tables 1 and 2, and the morphology of the fabric is illustrated in Figure 9.…”

“…Performance tests, such as air permeability and thermal resistance, were conducted on the fabrics and the results were statistically analyzed. Based on these findings, they designed professional ski underwear by using zone optimization [7]. Kun and Yanzhen analyzed the characteristics of the structural design of cycling clothes, and choose the functional fabrics, the design requirements of the pattern and the color.…”
