Single Phase Laminar Flow Heat Transfer Enhancement A Review: (a) Combined Transverse Ribs and Twisted Tapes and (b) Combined Helical Screw Tape Inserts and Wire Coil Inserts

Abstract: Passive heat transfer enhancement is the most widely adopted technique in industries due to low implementation cost. This paper presents state of the art reviews of two very popular passive techniques namely, wall roughness (ribs and wire coils) and swirl generators (twisted tapes and helical screw tapes).
