Single-phase filtering system for DC motor locomotives

Abstract: This research has been motivated by industrial demand for modernization of older types of DC motor locomotives powered from AC line. The paper describes control algorithm of additional filtering system for DC motor locomotives based on shunt active power filter (APF).
