“…The inability to detect an analgesic efficacy between two different loading doses of celecoxib might be due to the moderate observed postoperative pain in this study rather than the severe pain noted in the Cochrane database [12] and a previous study [11]. This previous study comparing the two loading doses of celecoxib could not detect the difference for pain rescue consumption and patients' satisfaction with pain management either [11].…”

“…Not much difference has been observed between the Tmax of celecoxib 200 mg group and 400 mg group [16]. However, there is a report that the time to onset of analgesia is significantly shorter in the celecoxib 400 mg group than in the 200 mg group and that the analgesic effect lasts longer [15,17]. Therefore, it is considered appropriate to set the dose for initial administration of celecoxib at 400 mg for postoperative pain after oral surgery.…”

“…Celecoxib is a tricyclic compound having a pyrazole ring that exhibits an excellent level of anti-inflammatory action against COX-2 enzymes [17,18]. Celecoxib has also been widely investigated in perioperative and periprocedural settings [17,[19][20][21][22].…”
