Single Domain State Stability in TGS Single Crystals

Abstract: The influence of electrode shorting on the stability of single domain state in triglycine sulphate single crystals is investigated by the method of Barkhausen effect. Polarization reversal jumps were observed in the experiment under the condition of invariable macroscopic polarization of the crystal. An estimation and comparison of the Barkhausen jumps (BJ) parameters were made for the cases of electrode shorting and applying electric field to the sample.
