Abstract: Abstract. Bioturbation processes influence particulate (sediment reworking) and dissolved (bioirrigation) fluxes at the sediment-water interface. Recent works showed that benthic foraminifera largely contribute to sediment reworking in intertidal mudflats; yet their role in bioirrigation processes remains unknown.
