Abstract: Abstract. Bioturbation processes influence particulate (sediment reworking) and dissolved (bioirrigation) fluxes at the sediment–water interface. Recent works showed that benthic foraminifera largely contribute to sediment reworking in intertidal mudflats, yet their role in bioirrigation processes remains unknown.
