Abstract: Purpose Cytokeratin 19-positive cancer stem cells (CK9 + CSCs) and their tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) have not been fully explored yet in the hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
