Abstract: Fat embolism (FE) is defined as fat embolism circulating in the bloodstream, with or without symptoms. Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is a circulatory fat embolism which is a secondary complication and causes specific clinical manifestations in the lungs, brain, skin.
