“…Different types of mill, producing a different nature and intensity of mechanical energy, which is applied to the mechanochemical synthesis, can determine its course, and the formation of centers responsible for a solid-state reaction [ 33 ]. The products of the same mechanochemical reaction obtained using different types of mills may differ in crystal structure, morphology, and properties, as has already been demonstrated in a couple of papers by our research group [ 27 , 34 ]. The planetary and vibratory mills differ in several aspects of the working regime.…”

“…Higher content of the orthorhombic phase, in the case of planetary ball milling, most probably points to a more pronounced first-order transition of α-CuSe to β-CuSe. This is most probably a result of the fact that the local temperatures in the planetary ball mill are higher than in the case of the vibratory mill, as more pronounced reaction progress has been found when comparing the two types of mills in the past [ 27 , 34 ].…”

“…On the one hand, mechanical treatment of chicken eggshell has enabled to retrieve valuable calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ) from this biowaste [160] . Complementarily, CaCO 3 contained in eggshell has also been used to mechanochemically dechlorinate industrial polyvinyl chloride, thus simultaneously valorizing two types of waste [161] …”

“…Several ways have been reported to manage eggshells waste typically destined for landfill and some others such as soil conditioner, fertilizer, animal feed, additive food, adsorbent, calcium supplement, paper manufacture, and material re-used through recycling, all having the potential to be more sustainable methods 3 , 14 , 15 . Recently, researches have studied on using eggshells for removing dyes 16 , 17 and heavy metals 18 24 from wastewater, adsorbing of phosphorus or phosphate 25 , 26 , recycling of polyvinyl chloride 27 , synthesis of PbS/CaCO 3 nanocomposites for degradation of tetracycline 28 , and preparing bio-adsorbent 29 and composites as catalyst for some reactions 30 , 31 . Eggshell membrane has also been used to produce biochar-supported Cu 2+ /Cu + composite for ractopamine detection 32 , CuO–ZnO nanocomposites for water purification 33 , and nano-silver-decorated microfibrous eggshell membrane for wound healing and preventing bacterial infection 34 .…”
