“…The traditional distributed fiber fusion system scheme is to modulate the continuous light output of the laser into pulsed light and inject it into the fiber to be measured, the received reflected light contains Brillouin scattering signal and Rayleigh scattering signal, and one sideband of Brillouin scattered light is filtered out by DWDM for BOTDR measurement, and the remaining Rayleigh scattered light and another sideband of Brillouin scattered light are used for φ-OTDR measurement [4]. Due to the high requirements of BOTDR on the power and wavelength adjustable range of the light source, while the φ-OTDR has high requirements on the wavelength stability and linewidth of the light source, it is difficult to meet the measurement requirements of BOTDR and φ-OTDR systems at the same time with a single light source, resulting in the degradation of the performance of the fusion system.…”
