Simultaneous Laminar and Turbulent Mass Transfer at a Rotating Disk Electrode

Abstract: A general corrclation is derived which allows to describe mass transfer at a rotating disk above the critical Reynolds number Re,. It takes into account the fact that laminar and turbulent transport take place simultaneously. Electrochemical mass transfer studies at a rotating disk electrode at Reynolds numbers Re, up to 1.8. lo6, the Schmidt number Sc ranging from 930 to 10320, can be described with good accuracy by such a correlation:Sh, .
