“…Additionally, GA can also be extracted from many herbs and fruits, such as Rheum officinale , Eucalyptus robusta Smith , Semen corni , and pomegranate husk. However, due to the complicacy of these natural matrixes and the high polarity of GA, some interferences are often co‐eluted through traditional elution methods, including chromatographic methods, SPE, LLE, and accelerated solvent extraction . Therefore, it is necessary to develop a simple technology to selectively separate and enrich GA from complex natural resources.…”

“…To assess the pharmacokinetics of green tea catechins after ingestion, we developed a new analytical method for detecting green tea catechins in serum. Pharmacokinetic study using this method showed individual variation of catechin serum concentration after ingestion of same amount of green tea catechins [4]. This observation indicated the existence of unknown factors affecting the pharmacokinetics of green tea catechins.…”

“…All the analytes (4 catechins and GA, and Ethyl gallate asan internal standard) were separated and obtained as single peaks, and the accuracy, reproducibility, and sensitivity of this method were sufficient to measure the target catechins and GA in serum [4].…”

“…For detection mode, an electrochemical detection offers high potential of interest. They can be used as a detector in the UHPLC system for the determination of varietal electroactive antioxidants [12][13][14]. Various electrode materials have been also applied to detect these electroactive polyphenolic compounds such as metal electrode (platinum electrode [15]), glassy carbon electrode (GCE) [16,17], carbon-paste electrode (CPE) [18] and screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) [19].…”
