“…In our study, 1 patient had an MI post-CEA prior to undergoing CABG. Reports indicate a myocardial infarction rate of 4% in combined CEA and CABG procedures [25], a rate of 0.9% for staged CABG before CEA technique, and a rate of 3.6% to 6.5% for staged CEA before CABG [5,14,20]. In our short staged approach, we found an MI rate of 1.1%.…”

“…A review of the literature demonstrates a combined CEA and CABG stroke incidence ranging from 2% to 6% [4,6,25]. While the reported stroke rate for staged CEA followed by CABG ranged from 2.4% to 3.2% [5,6,14,20], we discovered a stroke rate of 1.1% for short staged CEA before CABG. Of patients who undergo CABG, 1.6% to 3.0% are expected to have a stroke [25,28], which is a serious cause of post-CABG morbidity and mortality.…”

“…Thus, the purpose of this study was to provide a description of simultaneous CEA and CABG outcome and find possible factors that were associated with patient's postoperative status. The majority of studies reported postoperative complications in relation to stroke and mortality [Aydin 2014;Nwakanma 2006;Gansera 2012;Illuminati 2011]. We primarily examined the frequency of stroke and mortality, but we also investigated and described other complications that might be expected during the postoperative course.…”

“…В связи с этим на первый план выходит индивидуальный подход к лечению больных с МФА. Пациенты с сочетанным поражением коронарных артерий и БЦА являются группой высокого риска развития периоперационного ИИ и ИМ [28,29].…”
