Show more

“…As ∆ρ susy is positive, it is tightly constrained. The analysis of [80], on the other hand, includes also the information relative to the restricted Higgs sector of the MSSM and leads to ∆ρ susy = −0.0004 +0.0017 −0.0013 at the 2σ level, which again shows no deviations from the SM. Another alternative formulation in terms of the parameter T ≈ α∆ρ leads to very similar results (0 < T susy < 0.2 at 95% CL [67,76]).…”

“…Another alternative formulation in terms of the parameter T ≈ α∆ρ leads to very similar results (0 < T susy < 0.2 at 95% CL [67,76]). We will therefore require ∆qρ (0) < 1.5 × 10 −3 , which appears to be a conservative bound, also taking into account that QCD effects tend to enhance significantly the squark contributions to ∆ρ [81], and that present data improve on the 1998 results employed in [79,80], especially on M W .…”

“…To carry out this fit, we have employed the GAPP program [35] that has been used in arriving at the best-fit values in the RPP, but using the value of the top quark mass m t = 170.9 ± 1.8 given in Ref. [36].…”

“…Both, p(M H ) and p non−inf (M H ), are improper (not integrable) distributions, but the likelihood, p(data|M H ), constructed from the precision measurements assures a proper posterior. [9] for the Higgs boson mass. The probability is shown for bin sizes of 1 GeV.…”
