Simulations for very early lifecycle quality evaluations

Abstract: Chung et al. have proposed a graphical model that captures the interdependencies between design alternatives in terms of synergy and trade-offs. This model can assist in identifying quality/risk trade-offs early in the lifecycle of software development, such as architectural design and testing process choices. The Chung et al. method is an analysis framework only: their technique does not include an execution or analysis module. This paper presents a simulation tool developed to analyze such a model, and techn… Show more

“…The data miner used on DDP was the TAR2 and TAR3 treatment learners [7,8,14,15,17,19,23,25]. The premise of treatment learning is that within the space of possible decisions, there exist a small number of key decisions that determine all others.…”

“…the simulation of maintenance process [81]. The second may also hold true as 21% of the studies either simulated a process at NASA or used their data to calibrate the model [63,64,65,66,67,68,115,114,126,128,107,84,85] since they had a strong tradition of measurements.…”

“…Furthermore, improvements have been evaluated by varying a number of parameters in the process to determine the best alternatives one ought to strive for (cf. [144,96,107]), as well as investigating specific technology adoptions to the [76], or use of different quality assurance approaches or architectural styles [84]. Training and Learning: In training and learning the majority of the studies aimed to explore or understand a phenomena from a scientific point of view to provide some recommendations and guidelines to practitioners (cf.…”

“…Current urban rail transport in China has entered a period of rapid development, and many major cities' rail transport system is gradually moving in the direction of the development of the network, the network process, along with a lot of new technology, new equipment intensive put into use, operation and management methods multi-line integrated operation management to change the direction of the formation of rail transportation network operation situation [1][2]. However, to achieve this leap and change at the same time, domestic and international rail traffic as emergency dispatch policy mistakes led to major security incidents has become increasingly prominent: on February 18, 2003, Daegu subway fire accident resulted in 198 deaths, and 146 people were injured, resulting in property losses of up to 4.7 billion won; on December 22, 2009, Shanghai train collision accident led to the surrounding road traffic paralyzed, 105 buses transported six hours before the evacuation even lag passengers; on September 27, 2011, Shanghai train rear-end accident resulted in 260 injured.…”
