Simulation Tests of a Cow Milking Machine—Analysis of Design Parameters

Abstract: The objective of this paper was to create a mathematical model of vacuum drops in a form that enables the testing of the impact of design parameters of a milking cluster on the values of vacuum drops in the claw. Simulation tests of the milking cluster were conducted, with the use of a simplified model of vacuum drops in the form of a fourth-degree polynomial. Sensitivity analysis and a simulation of a model with a simplified structure of vacuum drops in the claw were carried out. As a result, the impact of th… Show more

“…They change widely in the cases of various vio lations of the technical condition of the equipment [13,14]. Violations and drastic changes in the technical parameters of milking plants during the milking process significantly affect the speed of milk yield and increase the time of cattle milking, which is emphasized in work [15].…”

“…Taking into consideration equations ( 16) to ( 18), we have an expression for calculating the inner diameter of the teat sphincter: Substituting the values of equations (15) in equation ( 4), we finally receive an expression for a milk yield rate: Thus, the milk yield rate depends on the value of a working vacuum, the ratio of the cycles, the number of pulsations of the milking machine, and the tension force of teat rubber.…”

“…The vacuum at the end of the sucking phase affects the teat tissue at the beginning and end of milking. Therefore, the availability of the mathematical model of vacuum change makes it possible to conduct simulation tests of the controllability of the machine milking process (Golisz E. et al, 2021).…”
