Simulation of the active compensated pulsed alternator with a laser flashlamp load based on simplified model

Abstract: this paper presents a nontraditional Laser power system which an active compensated pulsed alternator (ACPA) drives the flashlamp directly instead of the capacitor groups. As a result, the volume of the laser system is decreased because of the high energy density of ACPA. However, the matching between the output of the alternator and the laser flashlamp is significant and needs to be well analyzed.
