Abstract:In this paper, the microstructures of nanocomposite ceramic tool materials are represented through Voronoi tessellation. A cohesive element model is established to perform the crack propagation simulation by introducing cohesive elements with fracture criteria into microstructure models. Both intergranular and transgranular cracking are considered in this work.
