Simulation of flow around a slender body at high angles of attack

Abstract: LES of the flow around an ogive-cylinder body at high angles of attack were carried out to investigate the possibility of the development of asymmetric wake-vortex without the introduction of artificial perturbations. The study investigated the effect of grid resolution and scheme bias on the solution. The numerical solution was found to be sensitive to the bias in the numerical scheme.
