Abstract:A two-dimensional model of a multifractal turbulent electromagnetic field is proposed that allows flexibly varying the width of the multifractal spectrum and the level of intermittency. The electromagnetic field is modeled using a superposition of wavelets that are distributed uniformly throughout the computational domain. By means of a special distribution of amplitudes, we ensure that the resulting field is multifractal and intermittent. This model was used to study the effect of multifractality and intermit… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
