Simulation Modeling of Aerial Work Completed by Helicopters in the Construction Industry Focused on Weather Conditions

Abstract: The aim of this research was to develop a simulation model of the works carried out by helicopters, which are used in the construction of buildings under harsh natural conditions. This work identified that even technologies that we do not normally encounter, such as aerial work using helicopters, can have a major impact on ensuring the requirement of sustainability within the overall environmental and economic context. In the environment of protected landscape areas and national parks, in particular, where all… Show more

“…Modelling of construction processes may point to the need to develop new elements, systems and technologies that will speed up and simplify construction work and reduce its impact on changing conditions during construction. This case also occurred in the case of modelling of construction processes realized by helicopters [3]. Innovative elements or systems can have a material character (for example, the use of assembly jigs in assembly processes), or they can exist at the conceptual level, which is often the case in concrete practice in the case of concrete mixtures.…”

“…The use of helicopters in construction is diverse and in the conditions of our region they are often used in the construction of cableways [3]. For example, in the years 2011 -2012, the construction of a cableway connection on the northern and southern sides of Chopok in the Low Tatras took place.…”

“…Research in the field of the preparation of construction works by simulation modeling is in its infancy, and some authors have highlighted the need to analyze earlier research by using simulation methods [4]. Data from concreting processes at construction sites in Dubai were collected and then statistically analyzed, after which a simulation model was created using the discrete event method.…”

“…The simulation model is one of the potential tools for digitizing predictions for construction process in Industry 4.0. Due to the complexity of concrete works, it is useful to use some complex tool during preparation such as simulation modeling [4].…”
