Abstract

Simulation of the surface roughness alteration in spinning of optical components Forming technology is often used to manufacture work pieces with sophisticated surface topology as well as part shapes. Today, the production of the required surface qualities is still based on expert knowledge and "trial and error" techniques. Thus, in this paper an approach will be shown to compute surface quality by finite element analysis.
