Simulation based Analysis of AODV Routing Protocol in Ad Hoc Network under different Mobility and Propagation Loss Models using NS-3

Abstract: Mobile ad hoc network is an infrastructure-less network, that consist of mobile nodes, with the ability to communicate with each other without any centralized unit. The main features of MANETs are, wireless medium, dynamic topology, distributed cooperation, vulnerable to many security attacks and data loss because of the mobility of nodes. Many routing protocols have been developed for MANET, but ad hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is preferred as the best routing protocol for MANET, becaus… Show more

“…The AODV simulation model used in this work is based on the implementation of the protocol carried out by the research group Kumar et al (2018) 34 . The network has been evaluated under the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for two different scenarios that include stationary conditions, different spatial distributions of the nodes and different collision models.…”
