Simulation and manufacturing of modified circular monopole microstrip antenna for UWB applications

Abstract: Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology is one of the most promising wireless communication solutions to be developed quickly because of the high-speed data, wide bandwidth and excellent immunity to multipath interference. In this work, the compact design of a modified circular monopole microstrip antenna is simulated and manufactured for the UWB applications. The simulation process of the proposed antenna was done based on the finite integration of the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio (MWS). The … Show more

“…The antenna area can be scaled down. Multiband features are also achieved by counting meander lines on a four-sided strip ring [10]. A wideband antenna or ultrawideband (UWB) with slots can also be used to generate numerous operational bands, resulting in dual-band or triple-band antennas.…”

“…In developing the communication system, the antenna is required to be designed with less power consumption, inexpensive, low profile, lesser complexity, higher precision ranging, light weight, and ease of implementation [5]- [7]. The UWB technology is used in different applications such as high-accuracy radars, medical imaging systems, high-data rate wireless communications, remote sensing, medical monitoring, and medical sensor data collection systems [8]- [9]. These UWB antennas are constructed in different designs such as dipole and monopole/logarithmic antenna.…”

“…This method is quite effective in locating the ideal answer [6]. Rather than starting with a seed population of weeds, the researchers want to employ a randomly generated initial chaotic population, which they hope would produce a more diverse seed population [7]. In addition, it is ISSN: 2502-4752  made certain that the members of the population cover the whole search area.…”
