In this article, we review some existing nonparametric and parametric graphical methods for reliability data. We first give general definitions and concepts in the area. Then, we discuss some well‐known basic graphical techniques including empirical cumulative distribution function (cdf) plot, hazard plot, probability‐probability (P‐P) plot, quantile‐quantile (Q‐Q) plot, the Weibull plot, the Duane plot, mean cumulative function (MCF) plot, and Total Time on Test (TTT) plot. We also describe some problem‐specific graphical techniques that explore different applications in the reliability area.
