Abstract:Six tons of steel ingots that have three different temperature windows in the solid-liquid regions were simulated and studied via casting simulation software. The distributions of the porosity and crack in the steel ingots were simulated and predicted. The simulation results showed significant differences among the steel ingot solidification mode in different solid-liquid regions.
