Simulating the electrical characteristics of a photovoltaic cell based on a single-diode equivalent circuit model

Abstract: Abstract. This research work presents the simulation based study of a commercial solar cell for analyzing the real-time behavior of a PV module. The mathematical modelling is based on Equivalent circuit of the solar cell and demonstrating the practical approach for using the single diode five parameters (IM5P) mechanism.
