Simulated quantum annealing as a simulator of non-equilibrium quantum dynamics
Yuki Bando,

Abstract:Simulated quantum annealing based on the path-integral Monte Carlo is one of the most common tools to simulate quantum annealing on the classical hardware. Nevertheless, it is in principle highly non-trivial whether this classical algorithm can correctly reproduce the quantum dynamics of quantum annealing, particularly in the diabatic regime. We study this problem numerically through the generalized Kibble-Zurek mechanism of defect distribution in the simplest ferromagnetic onedimensional transverse-field Isin… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
