Simulated bending test analysis of 23% efficient lead-free flexible perovskite solar cell with different bending states

Savita Kashyap,

Jaya Madan

Abstract: Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as a promising technology for developing highly efficient and low-cost photovoltaic (PV) devices. However, toxicity is the primary limiting factor that is restraining the use of traditional PSCs. Therefore, lead-free PSCs have been considered the best alternative due to lead toxicity and environmental impact. The secondary obstacle hindering the potential of PSCs for wearable applications is their limited flexibility. Therefore, lead-free flexible PSC (F-PSC) device i… Show more

“…Its insulating properties, essential for electronic applications, are the result of its large value of band gap [11,12]. CaTiO 3 is useful in capacitors and other electrical devices due to its high dielectric constant [13][14][15]. Doping and structural changes may further be used to control its dielectric constant value which has been reported to be altered from 100 to 180 [16,17].…”

“…At present, the majority of the world's energy requirements are met by fossil fuel-based sources, but their reserves are depleting at an accelerated rate due to increased energy consumption. To overcome these challenges and meet the increasing energy demands, it is necessary to develop sustainable energy options [9][10][11][12]. Among these, renewable energy resources i.e., solar energy offer a solution to tackle this substantial demand without inflicting harm on our planet and harnessed through photovoltaic (PV) cells for direct electricity conversion stands out as the most abundant renewable energy source [13][14][15][16][17][18].…”
