Simulated Annealing for CSAMT 1 Dimension Inversion

Abstract: We applied simulated annealing in CSAMT 1 dimension inversion. We demonstrate the simulated annealing flexibility for starting models by allowing the model parameters to vary in a large range. The inversion started from 10 different starting models and has 1000 temperature reductions. Numerical calculation model was a three-layer geoelectric model; the observed data were electric field component. The results show all runs converge to the true parameters.
